After discussing this yesterday with my friend Jim over at www.jameshooker.com I decided the subject of university tuition fees was worth a post.

Now there is 2 different parts im concerned with here.

1. Being a government that got elected due to screaming about education is now charging us 3x as much to get one.

2. The fact quite a large percentage of lectures get cancelled, no-one shows up or theres is a strike on

The first reason is fairly self explanatory so I dont need to go into much detail.
However the second part needs a little more attention.

At school if a teacher was a no show it was fine, you had fun or went to lunch early. At university you are paying for every single one of these classes.

Id say an average out of the 20 or so lectures I have a week 2 dont happen. Thats 10% of my tuition fee. With the rise of fees now upto £3000. When you realise thats £300 of your money it starts to look a little worse.

Jim and I basically said, Why not make a note of what lectures dont happen, get the dates confirmed then invoice the university for failure to provide a service you paid for. It makes perfect sense to me if lecturers dont want to show up as we've actually gone looking for them and found a few drinking coffee in their office. Screw it they can pay for it then.

£300 is just an estimate remember for every lecture they miss think you just lost £5-10. Ill make it the most expensive coffee break the lazy sods ever have!

Yep Nightclubs exist due to one phrase...

"Aww come on, Dont be boring"

Now im not a huge fan of nightclubs. You cant talk to anyone its too loud, and you cant sit anywhere its too busy. You can only buy drinks and then drink enough till you dont care how much of a tit you look dancing. Doesnt sound especially intersting to me. With 99% of all conversations starting and ending with someone screaming "WHAT!?!?" or "I CANT HEAR YOU" into your ear drums its not a place to meet new people.

Yes I know theres loads of Girls and Guys there but honestly I cant think of any long lasting relationships forming out of people met at a nightlcub..if you can actually remember them that is.

Think of the lines, "I saw her across a crowded room, out of all the girls she looked the most easy. I knew then she'd be the one for me." Hmm Most easy way to an nice STD there lad.

Perhaps "Well okay he was too drunk to even see me but what a gentleman! He made sure all the vomit missed my shoes, There was love in the air! ... Sure thats love in the air?

So I prefer Pub/bar type environments as you can chat, socialize and have a few drinks and just relax. However if I dont wish to go to the club im boring.

Here comes the logic: To be considered Not Boring Id have to be bored.
If im Enjoying myself and having a good time im boring.

Some people may genuinely love clubs but i wouldnt brand anyone not into that as dull. From experience in university, many times ive been sitting chatting and having a great night with friends when that inevitable line comes up "Hey err we better get on the dance floor" .. "Why mate?" After a pause and shrug "Well i dont want to be boring" At which point im happy we dont have guns in this country.

I know very few people I could say can honestly dance so why stand up.. stop talking .. abandon all fun and just stand there bobbing from side to side. If anyone in the room wasnt too drunk to notice they would think you had some sort of medical problem there.

Please Please please make up your own damn minds on what YOU consider fun and stop wrecking perfectly good nights out with your low bloody self confidence!

We really dont need chemicals released by our brains that reward us for doing simple things like feeding ourselves!

Im going to open with a rant/theory

Why I should actually have my own statue

What would happen if we got rid of physical money (cash)...

• Digital money

• Drug dealing – Becomes virtually impossible as all transactions can be traced, would you feel comfortable buying drugs of someone knowing they’ll be a record of it at your bank that will be investigated if they gets caught? Plus it would be very easy to recognise dealers as dozens of small payments from people, not companies arrive in their account daily

• Theft.. Well even though most theft is drug fuelled and we just demolished that, burglary is pretty much pointless as selling the products would result in a digital record that can easily be traced to you when the shop realises the goods are reported stolen. Mugging would become MUCH harder as wallets and £10 pound notes might not have pin numbers/security but your card will do!
Even if you do steal peoples things .. how the hell are you going to get money by selling them??

• Okay so you force someone to transfer money to your account.. well bam there’s all the evidence needed to convict you right there you tit.. there’s no cash points anymore!

• Secuirity – Fake accounts and stolen identities can be traced and frozen. The government cannot currently delete that £50 note you stole from existence via a computer

• Fraud/counterfeiting .. okay so if I print a million fake £10 notes, as soon as I start spending them they become almost impossible to trace.. aside from the fact counterfeiting digital money would be next to impossible with bank security, all the money I did make would be easily accounted for

• Bribes/Blackmail/Illegal payments – All tracable. No more briefcases of cash that can be handed over… you make money by breaking the law.. there WILL be a record of it.

• Okay so you can still barter for drugs etc.. but your hardly going to want to hand over your dvd player just to get some drugs.. plus once your dealer has one.. why would he want another? He cant sell it remember? Well even if he could someone selling dozens of items to shops with no proof of where he got them from or if their found belonging to other people would be pretty easy to recognise.

………..i think ill have a bronze statue.. those stone ones crumble and all.
